A little about me...

I've enjoyed making things since I was little!  In elementary we learned to make God's Eyes in art class. I loved it so much I went home, collected sticks, and asked my Mom to get me some yarn. I made so many of those things!  In middle school, I spent one Christmas break cross-stitching every chance I had.  In high school I saved up and bought my first sewing machine.  I spent Friday nights sewing while other teenagers were out and about.

And now I have my very own home workshop complete with saws, sanders, nail guns, drills, and lasers! It's a crafter's dream come true!

I have been married to my husband, Ryan, for 25 years....I lovingly refer to him as my "maintenance crew".  We have three darling daughters, and our first grandchild on the way!  We live in rural Indiana and we farm and operate a few other farm related businesses.

FAQ's

Do you accept custom orders?

I do accept custom orders, however, they are on a limited basis. I have a limited number of custom spots open per month. Please also see my ever-growing personalized line of products.

Will you provide a proof of my order?

Yes, in general, I will send you a proof of your order....so you can see placement, check spellings of names, etc.  Once you ok the proof, production will begin, at which time, changes can no longer be made. If needed, I also send color or ribbon sample photos.  I want you to love your finished product, and I do my best to make sure I meet your expectations.

What is your average processing time?

My processing time is usually about 2-3 weeks for orders. During peak times of the year, processing may take a little longer. If specially requested supplies are needed, (example: specific ribbon) additional time will be needed. If you need a "rush" order, please let me know before ordering, and I'll try to accommodate (a rush fee may apply).

Do you accept returns?

Due to the nature of wood products, I do not accept returns. However, I generally do send a proof of your product after it is designed.  See above.

What if a product is damaged during shipping?

I only ship smaller products that I am comfortable shipping. I try to pack each item carefully so that damages do not occur.  All products are shipped via USPS Priority Mail and include a tracking number and insurance.  In the event that your product is damaged during shipping, I will work with you to help you file the claim with USPS, and get you a replacement product if desired.

Can I pick up locally?

Absolutely!  Local pick up is an option during checkout! Orders may be picked up at The Cottage Shop; 4469 W 575 S, Portland IN.
